As we approach the end of February, I have my fingers crossed that winter is now firmly behind us. Don’t get me wrong, I love freshly fallen snow, snuggling into oversized jumpers when it’s cold…and that’s about it. I do not like melting snow turning to thick ice on the pavements, the dark mornings and even darker evenings, and of course, this bitingly cold weather we’ve been experiencing.
Someone else who isn’t a fan of cold weather is Mum in Meltdown who writes about living with M.E. With her condition meaning she is more susceptible to the cold than others – even in summer – she has helpfully put together some non-bank breaking top tips for keeping warm (M.E related). To be honest, I might even try and give some of these a go!
Elsewhere, while we’ve all been nursing coughs and colds over the last few months, spare a thought for one blogger whose daughter has more wheezes than most of us and which has seen them in A&E more times than I think they would like. From Fun to Mum‘s little Miss G has asthma, a condition that can, in her experience, be easily dismissed as a ‘viral wheeze’ by healthcare professionals when dealing with very young children. She has written a really informative blog post about the difference between a viral wheeze and asthma based on her own experiences and the reading she has done on the subject. I urge you to take a read.
Now, I’ve been meaning to write about this next blogger for a little while. Tricky Customer – I’m talking about you! She is mummy to Sam who has ARX, also known as Aristaless Related Homeobox. It’s a condition that causes severe epilepsy and this mummy blogger chronicles her life as a full-time carer to her gorgeous little boy. In a recent post she explains what ARX is and what this means for her little lad. From her writing you can tell this is one strong lady who absolutely adores her son and I find her posts really quite touching.
Thanks to everyone who added their health posts to the last Health Round-up linky. I really enjoyed reading them all. We’re doing it all again this month too so please link up any health-related posts you have written. You never know, it might be mentioned in the next round-up (now if that’s not an incentive I don’t know what is)!

Laura, I stumbled upon your blog through a link and was pleasantly surprised at what I found! It's lovely to see posts that acknowledge others hardships and situations, whether it be caring for a child with a rare condition or just embracing what other people are doing! Such a refreshing change from the usual self publicising posts! I shall be watching for more now that I have found you! Thank you!
