BritMums Blogger of the Week

It’s that time again! Time to honour one of our fab BritMums members for outstanding service to the blogging world. We have so many amazing BritMums members to trawl through each week that this task of honouring ONE is becoming decidedly more challenging.

Before we jump into the Blogger of the Week announcement, we’d like to acknowledge our friend Maria at Mummy’s Busy World. Maria, her husband and Little M left our fair shores to return to their homeland, Washington DC in the US, this week. Maria has been a very active BritMums member who always entertained us with her posts through her son’s eyes and voice. In her blogging “career” in the UK, Maria was a Finalist in this year’s MAD Blog Awards and was also acknowledged as a BritMums Fresh Voice through our Brilliance in Blogging Awards. We’ll miss Maria a lot but we know that she’ll quickly get back on the blog as soon as they are settled in Washington DC. So goodbye and good luck from the BritMums community Maria! You’ll always be “one of us” no matter where you live!

And now, onto the Blogger of the Week! This week, we’d love to draw your attention to a lovely blogger who has managed to add to her family just the other day! Emily of A Mummy Too gave birth to Jessica Mae on 19 October! Congratulations to Emily and the rest of the Leary Family! We look forward to more posts about the birth when you’re ready.

We love Emily’s site…the design is really fresh and fun and her posts are witty and informative at the same time. We also were really impressed with her new take on reviews with the post Encouraging Independence in the Bathroom. So impressed that I may have just bought one of those Spin Brushes! We also love the advice Emily has to share about Working Late in Pregnancy. Excellent tips for all working mums-to-be!

Wonder about gender issues with your children? Well, Emily asks just that questions with Should our son have a doll house? What are your thoughts? This is a great question! Congratulations to Emily, the BritMums Blogger of the Week and BRAND NEW MUMMY to Jessica Mae! We can’t wait to see the photos.
