What a week we’ve been through! Riots, civil unrest, 11 year olds looting, businesses being destroyed in a matter of minutes by careless individuals hell-bent on creating chaos. Not our best moment here in England! So let’s retreat to the comfort of blogging!
The BritMums blogosphere is full of wonderful writers who share their knowledge and delightful prose every week. Becky of English Mum! English Mum was one of the original members of what was then British Mummy Bloggers and she has continued to be a role model for other bloggers and an all around amazing lady.
English Mum has become a real place of inspiration for those of us who aspire to create lovely food-stuff but we’ve also been inspired by Becky’s adventures far and wide. Her trip to Olympic Park and meeting with Sebastian Coe and Colin Jackson was a major highlight recently. We’re all looking forward to 2012 even more now!
If you’re looking for cooking and baking inspiration, English Mum’s Latest Recipes is the place for you! I just about ran out to get a Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker to give the Fresh Mint and Dark Chocolate Ice Cream a whirl (drool)! As I don’t have that bit of kit, I think I’ll go with the Roast Chicken with a Lemon up its Bum…bound to be a hit with the whole family.
More than being a goddess in the kitchen, Becky is an amazingly lovely lady who reaches out to bloggers, offers support and is kind and generous. She is a role model in the BritMums community and someone you simply must visit on a regular basis.
