BritMums are talented, creative, clever and genius on a plethora of subjects. Parenting, technology, beauty, fashion, crafting, food, pregnancy, photography, etc., etc., etc… We love how diverse our members are and enjoy giving everyone the opportunity to shine.
We are also aware that when trying to promote yourself through social media channels and search engines, a topic starting with “How to…” is quite readily picked up. People always want to know “how to” do something. Why shouldn’t we be promoting our expertise then? So this week’s prompts involve HOW TO…
Personal Prompt: This week share with us a “How to…” that relates to Christmas. How to:
- make personalised wrapping paper
- create photo Christmas ornaments
- stuff a turkey in under 10 seconds flat
- survive the Christmas season with your sanity intact
This can be a step-by-step for how to make/create/do something or a tongue-in-cheek suggestion for surviving the holidays through crisis management and or alcoholic beverages. Simply begin your post “How to…” and fill in the remainder of the title. Then publish and link back below. We want to know about your wonderful ideas and tips and tricks so be sure to tweet us the link so we can re-tweet and highlight your “How To” genius.
Blogging Prompt: In keeping with the “How To” theme, we’d also love to know about your blogging prowess. If you’ve written a blogging related how to or have a special trick to share for beginner bloggers, here’s your opportunity to promote yourself as a Blogging Maven. Again, start your title with “How to…” and then share your blogging tips and tricks.
This week is the final week of preparation for the joy of Christmas so blogging may be taking a back seat but if you’re stumped for inspiration and want to get in a final post before Christmas, take on the BritMums Blogging Prompt challenge and see what you can create. And while you’re at it, crack open an adult beverage or two in the process. You never know what you might be able to come up with when reinforced with a little Dutch courage! Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good blog!
