I’ve realised it has been a little while since I have written a book roundup, my apologies. The summer was such a fun, but crazy time. I hope you all had a fantastic time. As we are well and truly into back to school and autumn, I thought I would share some lovely bookish posts on just those topics.
Back to School
Are you a parent that counts down to back to school and can’t wait for the return of routine, or like me feels sad when the summer holidays are over? Which ever way you feel, autumn is a great time to look at your child(ren)’s books and give them a shake up for the new academic year.
If you’re looking for some book based activities for 6-9 year olds, The Rainy Day Mum has done a lovely feature on the Magic Tree House Books.
The autumn is a great time to get out and about in the woods, my children do forest school at their school and they absolutely love it. If you would like to try something like that with your children Kids in the Wild has a great Forest Craft Book for you to check out.
We’ve reviewed a book recently on my blog A Way Home for Wolf which is a gorgeous book about wanting to be grown up and the why it’s important to be kind to others. Which I would genuinely recommend.
Book Bairn has a selection of books that help teach children about life’s lessons. I find books are a great way to help children to adapt and learn to different situations.
Autumn is a pretty season and there is also lots of things for children to explore and discover. The Bear and fox has 10 Picture Books to Welcome Autumn I haven’t come across any of the books on the list, so I’ve got some great new ones to try out this autumn.
Little Ladybird’s Adventures has a couple of fab autumn posts your need to check out. The first is 11 inspiring autumn books and the second for people starting to get excited about Halloween already, she has 12 Halloween Books for Young Children.
Autumn is also the perfect time to start thinking about doing something for yourself. Which means it’s also a great time to pick up a new book. Looking for some inspiration? Memories and Mayhem has 20 New Books You’ll Love This Autumn.
Autumn often makes me thinks of animals squirrelling away for hibernation. So I think Nuts reviewed by Me Him the Dog and Baby is a great book for autumn, and also has a great message about sharing.
