Blogger of the week: Melksham Mum

Melksham Mum bloggerFirstly, apologies for the lateness of BOTW. We have a huge technical crisis chez WitWitWoo this week and as we speak, I am still Mac-less. It’s OK, I’m getting therapy for it.

As each announcement of Blogger of the Week passes, it makes my job of choosing a new one that little bit harder. We’ve had some fabulous BOTWs already and I really want to continue bringing you that high calibre of blogger. But who to pick? (I asked if I could pick me again – I was out-voted.)

I thought it would be a good idea to introduce you to some newer blogs I’ve come across as well as the more established ones and so my choice this week is a blog I frequently lurk on. This writer is someone who’s quite a prolific blogger and her latest post What Will I Subject My Children To? really made me laugh.

So my Blogger of the Week this week goes to … Melksham Mum.

She might find this a bit odd, considering we’ve never really spoken, but I came across her ‘Day Zero‘ project – a list of 101 things to do in 1001 days and I enjoyed her whole blog.

Her Day Zero list is full of do-able things: eating fish and chips on the beach; growing a vegetable patch; go to the top of the Eiffel Tower with her husband. It’s lovely seeing her cross her challenges off. Quite whether she’s going to manage to stay away from Twitter for 24 hours, we’ll have to wait and see!

She loves taking photos (always a plus point for a blog in my opinion), is raging a constant battle with the scales in her Run Fat Girl, Run posts, loves music (with a special soft spot for a certain Brandon Flowers), and bakes with her youngest and shares some mouthwatering photos.

Viv has only been blogging since July but I think her blog is really interesting, colourful and fun to look around.

So congrats, Viv … more BOTWs coming soon!

About Kate Sutton

Kate Sutton is the owner of the wonderfully eclectic lifestyle blog, WitWitWoo. A mother to two boys, she has a knack for making the most banal things much more interesting than they really are. Normally found talking about cake, sausages and Riverdance on Twitter (@iamwitwitwoo) her considerably sized, Titian hair can be seen from satellite. Kate loves to dance, sing (very) badly and laugh a lot. Her fiercely competitive streak has now earnt her the title of world record breaker. She has added this to her existing list of accolades, which include Apprentice interviewee, Smirnoff model and ex-majorette.
