Well hello everyone. Sorry I didn’t get last week’s post up before the lovely Mari went on holiday, but never mind, we’re here without further ado! How quickly does time whizz past? So much so, that reading through all your political posts makes that point super well. Lots of you wrote really rather passionately about the outcome of the General Election which now seems yonks ago and yet it was such a recent occurrence they were only linked up last time! Thank you for all your points of view. I read every one of them but have deliberately left them out of my featured ones so as not to re-ignite the debate that has only just settled down on social media sites. I’m sure you’ll understand.
There doesn’t seem to be much commenting going on between you all, but it would nice to join in the spirit of the Linky and have a read of each other’s posts. You never know when you’re going to discover a gem of a blog or enjoy a good laugh at someone else’s expense.
Speaking of which, the only thing I posted last week was about taking my two children to France, as a lone parent, in the car, by ferry and how we went from one disaster to another, almost accidentally ended up in Belgium and managed to have a ball nonetheless. My nerves have not yet recovered, but it’s Our Mad Mini Adventure Abroad if you’d like to read about it.
This week I wrote something quite different – a little letter to my eldest son who turned the milestone that is ten.
Here are some of my favourites from you all last time. Please link up your best post of the week, tag me on Twitter with it and I’ll see you in what will, no doubt, seem like a flash!

About Anya Harris
Anya is a part time blogger and would be full time writer. She blogs at Older Single Mum and at The Healer, is admittedly ancient and belatedly blessed with two young boys. Her background is evenly divided between being a Money Broker in London's Money Markets and working in the Healing Arts. Having straddled these two worlds and now finding herself immersed in the parenting one, she chats about anything that will make us laugh, including her Foreign Language Students, from whom she'll also pinch and share a recipe when we're lucky. She welcomes a 'Hello' on Twitter at @anyaharris01.
