I am immensely pleased with myself as I have ticked off a huge task on my To Do list that’s been there for a few months: Upload a copy of my entire archive of images to an online back up site. It took me forever but it is now complete and I can move on to my next bullet point – Tag, categorise and sort all said images. Groan, that really will take me forever!
The handy thing is I have revisited my life from 2003 (first digital camera) I have been back to places I’d forgotten about, smiled at people who are no longer part of my life, remembered good times, sad times and was amazed at just how small my twins were when they were born.
Images are such a huge part of our life, please make sure you are all backed up too, a friend of mine lost her entire archive which was backed up on a remote hard drive that broke and couldn’t be mended, she’s so upset.
Continuing along the lines of photography I spent all my christmas vouchers this week and invested in my first DSLR camera which I am so excited about and can’t wait to try out this weekend. I have been speaking to lots of bloggers who intend to improve their photography skills in 2015 and one way of doing that is by taking more photos. The more photos you take the better you see where your faults lie and how to improve on them.
I find Instagram to work wonders for me, I’m following some experts in their fields and when I come across their images on my timeline I study them and try to fix them in my memory so hopefully one day I can use their method.

It's nice to have that sense of accomplishment Mari for your photo backups! I know your pain- I am currently in the process of backing up all my files to a secure cloud site as my previous online back-up service stopped operating at the end of last year. I'm doing it in stages. According to my status report, I have 11 days left to be connected to the internet and finish backing up:-/
