Bake and raise some dough for Comic Relief

Bake and raise some dough for Comic Relief

Henry Holland apron for Red Nose DayOur #RaiseSomeDough Twitter party was all about doing something delicious for a good cause: Baking something funny for money and raising some dough for Comic Relief.

Bakers can help Comic Relief by purchasing from HomeSense some very groovy Henry Holland-designed aprons, tea towels and more that give to the charity with each purchase.

The #RaiseSomeDough party was sponsored by HomeSense, which offers unique and branded baking accessories, the perfect match for the new Comic Relief range. The homeware-for-less retailer is offering a fantastic range of limited edition products so budding bakers can get messy in the kitchen and bake something funny for money. Available in HomeSense and TK Maxx stores and on rednoseday.com, the range includes the apron and tea towels along with a selection of leather journals featuring quirky quotations from Oscar Wilde, Hannah Horvath from Girls and Baldrick from Blackadder. Profits from the sale of each item will all go to Comic Relief to help people living incredibly tough lives across Africa and here in the UK.

@poeywatson #RaiseSomeDough tweetYou shared baking tips for kids

Have everything measured/ prepped. Let them dump, pour  and mix. Gives you all some control.
@modzy78

I am all about the oilcloth: great for baking  crafting and eating with kids (and husbands) @domesticgoddesq

Tell them to pour and mix carefully. The more mixture that makes it to the oven  the more cakes we make
@CherylintheUK

Just do all the baking before bath time @AModernMother

 I use a mixer to minimise mess. They still get to lick the bowl though @suburb4nmum

Let the kids be boss of the kitchen…it’s gonna get messy anyway! http://t.co/YGKhqbd8fS @poeywatson
