Arts & Culture Round-up: Brush away the January blues

What an amazing start to the year, a little flurry of snow and lots of theatre and museums to keep you occupied during this very chilly spell, although that doesn’t stop our Arts & Culture hunters, who are always on the look out for fun and interesting places to visit and explore.

Read all about Natalie from Plutonium Sox Staycation Challenge, which included a trip to the theatre, Cathryn from Cardiff Mummy Says gives us 50+ Family Friendly Theatre Shows in and around Cardiff for 2017 , so if you live in the area or are considering a holiday near Cardiff in 2017, check what’s on, you can also read about her thoughts on Room on The Broom.

If you live near Birmingham, or considering a little break in 2017, check out Emma from Fashion Mommys Blog New Season Launch at Birmingham Hippodrome, check out her review of Gaslight at the New Alex Theatre.

Debbie from An Organised Mess has been reviewing A Regular Little Houdini at Chapter Arts Centre, whilst we have had the pleasure of La Cage aux Folles and Swan Lake which were both magnificent, and I would definitely recommend watching them if they are performing near you!

Kara from Are We Nearly There Yet gives her opinion on Matilda The Musical

Museums have played quite a big part in January, Louise from A Strong Coffee To Go gives her thoughts on  Milestones Museum Basingstoke, but she was not alone as Laura from Laura’s Lovely Blog also visited Milestone Museum! Samantha from North East Family Fun took a trip to The Robert Burns Museum, and had fun Robot Building at Discovery Museum Newcastle, Shaheen from Allotment 2 Kitchen visited the Brighton Museum and Art Gallery.

Exhibitions have been popular too, Jenny from The Gingerbread House gives her verdict on Opus Anglicanum at the V&A, and The London Model Engineering Exhibition

Whilst Angela at The Inspiration Edit has been hunting for Toads and Finding Her Prince

Looks like a lot of fun has been had in January, what will you get up to in February? Tweet me at @bigfamilies or email [email protected] with all your Arts & Culture posts for February.
