3 products to keep things sanitised for baby #MunchkinMoments #ad

It’s always important to keep things clean for your baby, and lately we’ve been even more focussed on it, thinking about what they put in their mouths and what they’re touching.

Munchkin has three products to help mums and dads keep things sanitised whether they’re on the go or at home Check them out below and see them in action. This post is sponsored by Munchkin which is on a mission to be the most loved baby lifestyle brand in the world.  They recognise that it’s the little things that often make the biggest difference.

We received the products to try. Read on to find out more and see how they work!

How to keep dummies and teats clean wherever you are

With our babies, we would rarely leave the house without a dummy – it was as essential as the changing bag and spare muslins. But no matter how good dummies are at helping baby self-soothe, there is one little problem. Let me illustrate:

Step 1: Give baby the dummy.

Step 2: Turn around to do something else.

Step 3: Look back to see dummy has been dropped in a puddle/in the footwell of the car/on a shop floor/any other unsanitary place we absolutely don’t want it to fall.

Step 4: Fish out one of the many ‘back-up’ soothers we’ve brought with us.

Step 5: Go back to Step 1.

Munchkin 59S Mini Steriliser Portable UV Sanitise

That’s why we love the new Munchkin 59S Mini Steriliser Portable UV Sanitiser https://www.munchkin.co.uk/59s-mini-steriliser-portable-uv-sanitiser.html for dummies and bottle teats. It’s a compact mini steriliser we can use anywhere. You simply pop the soother or teat inside, snap it closed and press the button — it uses UV light to sterilise it in just under a minute. We love that:

    • It kills 99% of bacteria & viruses from pacifiers and bottle teats in 59 seconds using UV-C light
    • It safely kills Staph, E.coli, RSV, Salmonella, Kleb, Influenza & other common germs
    • It sterilizes without using harmful chemicals
    • It has a child-safe UV light auto shuts-off when lid is opened
    • You can smell the clean because it removes odour-causing bacteria

The 59S clips onto a bag or pushchair, so we don’t have to remember to pack it for each outing (always a plus) and is powered by batteries of USB cable. We can keep a clean dummy inside while using another one. When one gets dropped (that’s when not if!), we take out the clean one and pop the dropped one in and sterilise. It means we always have a sterilised soother or dummy without having to cart around a bagful.

    Keeping toys clean for babies

Another thing we worry about keeping clean is toys. Teething rings and plastic rattles are cleaned easily enough. But what about all our adorable plush toys? We can’t put them in the washing machine every time they’re dropped at the park or after being sloppily ‘kissed’ by baby. Now finally we have a solution with the Munchkin Nursery Steriliser. It compact and won’t take up space in the baby’s room and can sterilise lightweight toys, killing up to 99% bacteria and viruses in 5 minutes. You can also use it for other lightweight items as well such as mobile phones, headphones, iPads, remote controls, keys, glasses and more – so important with those high-touch items. Other benefits:

    • It breaks down to a packable size for easy storage and portability
    • It has a rechargeable battery

Sterilising bottles easily in the microwave

Getting bottles and breast pump parts clean is easier than ever with the award-winning Munchkin Steriliser Bags https://www.munchkin.co.uk/latch-sterilise-bags-6-pack.html. They hold up to 2 wide-mouth bottles or double breast pump parts and can also use them for teats and soothers. You pop them in along with water, seal and microwave for two minutes then done!

One of the best features is the Cool Touch grip so you don’t have to touch the hot part of the bag and there’s an orange slider at the top for easy opening and closing. And we especially love that the bags make travel easy – we’ve never particularly liked using sterilising fluid or tablets because of the odour, our usual go-to when we’re on the road.

    • Simple sterilisation, at home or on the go
    • Sterilise bottles and accessories in just 2 minutes in microwave
    • Up to 30 uses per bag
    • Available from the end of August

All three products help keep baby’s things clean and sterilised but most of all, we really like the peace of mind. It’s a relief not to worry whether we’re at home or out – we know we can go about our day, our errands or our holiday while keeping things fresh and clean.
