Holiday Reads for Parents
If you are heading off on holiday I have a post on my blog 20 Poolside Reads, with some great choices from myself and other bloggers on what to read during your summer. Catherine’s Cultural Wednesdays have written a post of recommended summer reads. And the Winnettes has also written holiday books to get lost in. Cardiff Mummy says has shared 16 Books to read this summer as recommended by Mums, The Gingerbread House has shared a book review of a book that looks like a great summer read The Summer of Serendipity. So hopefully there is something for everyone.
Child Starting School?
Do you have a child that is due to start school this September or maybe next year? Mummy Times Two has written a post with 75 books children to read before they start school. There are some great books on this list.
Summer Holiday Trips, Reads & Activities
Fancy a trip to London in the holidays? Brick Castle has a review of a great book that tells you about all the places to visit with parks, playgrounds, secret gardens, museums, cafes and all sorts of exciting places to visit. For those of you who live perhaps in a more Northern part of our country, My Boys Club reviews a new exhibition that has opened at Seven Stories in Newcastle-upon-Tyne for comic book fans and it looks great.
Looking for some activities to keep your children entertained? Messy Little Monster has some fun book related crafts for you. Happy Mummy has also done some cooking around the Charlie and Lola book I Will Not Ever Eat a Tomato, which is a fab way of getting children to engage with the books they are reading.
If you have a child that likes to draw, then Angela from The Inspiration Edit has shared a post about a lovely book called Daily Doodles designed to help children have fun drawing. Even Angels Fall also reviewed this book and her son was also really pleased with it.
Also, you are looking for a book for slightly older children, Susan K Mann has taken part in a summer book tour about a book called Finding Gobi, and it looks like such an inspirational read.
