#GoodToKnow: Secrets to getting kids to balance treats with good food choices #ad

happymeals_alwaysworking_vertical-copyAs parents we’re always urging our children to enjoy their food, whilst also making good choices for them. At our #GoodToKnow Twitter chat, we’re discussing your secrets to balancing treats for your children and encouraging them to make better food choices – like eating more veg or choosing water or milk instead of sugary drinks.

The Twitter chat is sponsored by McDonald’s. McDonald’s have made positive changes to Happy Meals, with reformulations of what goes into the food (100% British and Irish beef in the burgers, reduced salt and fat, 100% white chicken breast meat) as well as more choice for parents (the option of carrot sticks or fruit bags, organic milk or water).

Come share your tips and ideas for encouraging kids to make better food choices. Do you give treats as rewards or encouragement? Make smiley faces out of carrots and grapes to entice them? Or tell them veg will help make them grow taller than mum? We want to know!

Tweet on Tuesday 25 October from 13:00 – 14:00 GMT. You could win one of 10 £25 shopping vouchers just for taking part!
