We all have those special family holidays: the ones we think about afterward, the ones that become part of family lore, that you and your children talk about for years afterward.
Spain particularly excels at providing lasting memories that children can carry with them into adulthood…and then even one day return with their own kids to relive those happy memories!
Family times in Spain that create lasting bonds
That’s because across Spain you not only have the warm hospitality of the people and the great weather. You also have attractions as varied as secluded beaches, watersports and whitewater rafting, cycling paths that ring Spanish islands or follow the coast, volcanoes and restaurants where your food is cooked by volcano, family resorts with pool playscapes and specialty kids’ buffets, historic castles and park tours via Segway, wineries that welcome children as well as adults and so much more. Even those moments relaxing together over a meal or enjoying a view can be meaningful and stay with children.
Best family holiday memories in Spain
Here at BritMums we’ve been reminiscing about the lasting memories we’ve created in Spain. It’s hard to choose, from the striking volcanic landscape of Lanzarote, the quarantine island of Menorca, the Loarre castle of Aragon… One top memory for Susanna was visiting Alta Alella winery, where they organise workshops aimed at getting kids interested and having fun learning at viticulture.

Jennifer can’t forget the afternoon touring the first natural park in Spain on a Segway (no matter how uncool she looked).
