Video Round-up: First and Last

The video round-up has been AWOL for several months but now I’m happy to tell you that it is going once again, with a new Editor… me! I’ve picked up the baton to bring you some fab vlogs from BritMums members each month so this is my first round-up but the last one of 2013!

As we are getting started once again, I asked BritMums members for any vlogs they had done on whatever subject to compile into this first round-up. I had no parameters on content or timings, I just wanted to see what was out there, but as we start to get into the vlogging swing, I will set prompts each month so the round-up is along a theme. It is up to you how you interpret that theme, but it is important that on our future round-ups, that the videos submitted are from blog posts that you published within the last month.

So let’s get started and see who is out there vlogging!!

Our first video is from Kirsty Taylor-Gallop from My Two Mums who discusses her relationship from beachy proposals to what her and her wife love about each other!

Vlogging newbie Hollybobbs shows us how to put together the My Little Pony Royal Wedding Castle. This toy review is funny when the family dog runs in to try and help!!

Jane Batt at Take 5 vlogs about her trip to Trevella Park, Newquay and shows us the outdoorsy fun to be had! This new blog from an experienced blogger is a travel website bringing together holidays and outings accessible to families of 5 or more.

Maggy Woodly has done a Hangout via G+ about advent calendars. Her regular Hangouts are all about themed crafts and are a great way for UK crafty bloggers to get together and share ideas so do check out her blog.

Kerrie from Wife, Mum, Student Bum tells us what her mornings are like getting ready for the school run! Her photos on the post are funny and the video is hilarious! I love her disclaimer at the bottom of the post too!

Lanea from In The Life Of… shares a video of her beautiful boys– since she became a mother of two! Warning – they are seriously cute!

Geekmummy has a couple for us this month. First of all a review of personalised books, featuring her daughter reviewing and then reading the book Then a very helpful video for parents who want to set their iPad or iPhone up so their kids don’t run up huge bills with in-app purchases. A ‘must watch’ for us techy parents!!

My vlogs this month were around food and weight loss. I did a ‘Food For the Mind‘ vlog on how to get out of a vicious circle and a recipe for a slimming spaghetti carbonara. I also did an introduction video for my new business as a vlog!

Lastly, Emma from My Little 3 And Me makes Easy Candy Cane Decorations for Children. A perfect, festive way to end the first video round-up, and a great activity to try when the kids are on school holidays after this week!

Thank you to everyone who submitted and let’s have even more next time! As it is Christmas, the vlog theme for the January round-up will be ‘family time’. Show us how you spent Christmas, or how you coped with the family over the festive period! Tell us what family time means to you or what you got up to with the family once the celebrations were done. However you interpret ‘family time’, get your camera out and vlog away. I will need your vlogs in by 12th January on email to JuggleMum@gmail.com.
