We love Bramley apples!
This tangy & versatile British apple produces maximum flavour – and if you use delicious herbs & spices alongside it you reduce the need to use so much sugar, producing a healthier end dish too. We’re celebrating your favourite Bramley apple recipes at our #BramleyApples Twitter party, Monday 2 February 2015 from 13:00 – 14:00 GMT. Tweet your recipe, dish or tip for cooking Bramleys, the King of cooking apples, with your favourite herbs & spices. You could win 1 of 10 £25 supermarket shopping vouchers, simply for taking part!
The party celebrates Bramley Apple Week (2-8 February) and is sponsored by Bramley apples which are grown commercially only in Britain. TV chef Valentine Warner and herb expert Jekka McVicar have created recipes that combine Bramley apples with herbs & spices producing flavour sensations – from curried Bramley & celeriac soup, pork loin with Bramley sauerkraut, smoked mackerel with Bramley winter slaw to special baked apple, and more, to mark the week.
In addition to joining the Twitter party, you can follow Bramley apples on Facebook facebook.com/BramleyApple and at www.bramleyapples.co.uk for delicious recipes, including celebrity chef creations, and the latest news on Britain’s favourite cooking apple.
Mark your calendar and get ready to share and discover mouth-watering Bramley recipes!
