The January Thrifty round up: New Year, New Blogs!

Hello and welcome to this month’s thrifty posts round up. Well I have 2 exciting brand new blogs to show to you from two old timers.

Liz Burton normally blogs at Me and My shadow and has a regular thrifty shopping round up on her Magpie Monday posts. She has now taken on a whole new endeavour blogging about her love of foraging and eating what she can find for free in the countryside, have a little look at Beeches and Haws

Jax from Live otherwise has blogged for a for a good while about, amongst other topics, home schooling and her love of literature. Now she has taken on a huge challenge to raise 100k to extend her family home which is bursting at the seams. Let’s raise the roof is all about her money saving and and making journey. She is being very mindful and organising her funds. Come and have a read and show these too new blogs some blogging love.

There is a very uplifting post also from Sally at Who’s the Mummy? called Best Foot Forward about how her financial plans have worked out for the best and I think this is a great post for helping us feel with a big dollop of focus we can reach our financial goals. Sort your knickers out with care though!

Last but not least I want to highlight a blog that is showcasing how a family try and spend nothing for a whole year. Tipped off by Jen from A thrifty mum who is sceptical about this concept (me too!) I popped over to check out Free our kids. It will be interesting to see how their no spend year pans out!

I have been busy this month too writing a new ebook for all those interested in being thrifty without life being hard. 100 easy ways to be a thrifty family was published last week and at the present time is the no.1 budgeting book on kindle. Its full of simple, easy to do ideas to help you live well for less.

Over on my Family Budgeting blog I have been falling in love with upcycling and you just have to see these fabulous upcycled wall art ideas we could all achieve. They are inspiring!
