Our #ThankYouMum Twitter chat, sponsored by P&G’s Thank You Mum campaign, is all about those countless moments of courage and composure that mothers demonstrate in their child’s life.
Get inspired for the party by watching this moving video from P&G, called “Strong”, which celebrates how mothers’ strength bolsters their children’s grit and determination. (Have a tissue ready – it’s a tear-jerker.)
The party is sponsored by P&G and the “Thank You, Mum” campaign, part of P&G’s worldwide partnership with the International Olympic Committee (IOC). P&G’s brands include Olay, Venus and Pampers.
Come tweet on Wednesday 6 July from 13:00 – 14:00 BST. You could win 1 of 10 P&G goody bags, featuring Olay and Gillette Venus products worth up to £25 – simply for taking part!

Why put the focus on Mums? P&G’s #ThankYouMum campaign is about saying a very simple “thank you” to mum, because they believe Mums are never thanked enough. It goes without saying that dads also play an incredibly important role – and P&G does honour dads too through programmes from brands like Gillette, Old Spice, and even Pampers & Pantene, see some of these here. P&G definitely recognises that dads also have a pivotal role in the development of their kids’ athletics and knows that dads also share in the role of supporting their child/athlete on the journey to, and at, the Olympic Games!

Nobody can be able to thank a mum. My mum passed on but I still miss her and wish if she could be alive. A mum is a symbol that means so much is a child's life. Let us respect our mums.

It's interesting how we discover over time just how much our mothers (indeed our parents) have affected our lives. At each stage of life I discover new things they have taught me. x
