Style Round-up: Four trends we’re loving this spring

After what has felt like the longest winter ever, the sunshine finally arrived! Bye-bye winter coat, scarf and gloves; see you in six months! I don’t know about you but I have been enjoying wearing lighter layers and have even been able to bring out the sandals.

Slogan tees: Spring is very much a transitional season when it comes to fashion, with pieces you can layer up or down dependent on the ever-changing weather. I’m still going crazy for slogan tees, especially ones with embroidered slogans, as they’re perfect with skinny jeans during the day. To dress it up, just add heels and some statement jewellery and you’re good to go! Or pair with a pair of detailed jeans like the ones Kate from Kate On Thin Ice has, with faux pearl and jewel embellishments.

Pretty dresses: Over the past six months I’ve worked hard to lose the last of my pregnancy weight, which has given me such a confidence boost, and I’ve started wearing dresses more often. Victoria from Lylia Rose has shared some gorgeous ones lately, like this bold design from Tobi, and Eilidh from Just Eilidh has lots of fashion inspiration like this poppy dress that lots of us have been lusting after.

    There will be a new post on the blog this week featuring outfits from @shoptobi 😍🌞 In preparation for my upcoming spring holiday which I’m counting down the days to! Jandia in Fuerteventura, I cannot wait! I’m so over this freezing weather❄️ . . . . #shoptobi #tobi #fblogger #fbloggeruk #fbloggers #fashionbloggers #dresslikeamom #dresslikeamum #ootd #outfit #outfitoftheday #wiwt #wiwn #ootd #fashionbloggersuk #ukfashionbloggers #fashionover30 #mumfashion #momfashion #mumstyle #momstyle #ukfbloggers #instastyle #instafashion #fashionofinstagram #dresslikeamum #mamafashion #ukfashion #fashionblog #outfitinspiration #selfie #selfiesunday

Bright colours: Primary colours are everywhere at the moment and I am loving it! I’ve taken a bit of a liking to bright green myself and had to stop myself buying both a top and a dress in the same green fabric (I settled on the top in the end). Hayley from Sparkles & Stretchmarks has some gorgeous brights in her recent vlog, I’m especially loving the yellow dress!

Statement earrings: It would have been impossible to write this post without mentioning earrings, as they are allover my Instagram feed at the moment, competing with the round straw handbag as this summer’s must-have accessory! As Laurie from Vanity & Me says, “take one classic plain top and add a pair of on-trend earrings and the whole look is up-to-date-on-trend”. If you’re not sure how to wear statement earrings, take a look at how Jenny, Morgana and Kate style theirs.
