With falling leaves and conkers on the ground, and with Halloween and bonfire night just around the corner, from the fashion perspective we are well into the “New Season.” Believe me, it’s only a matter of time before the fashionistas are planning their wardrobes for next summer! However, for now at least, I am happy to live in the here and now, enjoying the new season’s trends, dressing for the weather and getting excited as the sparkles hit the stores in preparation for Christmas.
As with last month’s fashion round-up, I have tried to include something for everyone – from style and fashion, to home and interiors and delicious autumn recipes. I hope that you enjoy it!
I first came across the blog GlamRosie a year or so ago now. Natalie, who runs it, is a Mum of two young children and clearly has an eye, and a passion, for fashion. From New Look sandals to London Fashion Week, from Clarks and Tesco to Louboutins – Glam Rosie flits around like a fashion fairy! With great advice and sound knowledge, she is like a breath of fresh air.
Many of you will already be familiar with Avril at School Gate Style. Recent posts of Avril’s include a review of Gok’s new collection for TU at Sainsbury’s, a whistle stop tour of fantastic sale pieces and pictures of herself wearing a cute owl print dress from Joe Browns. Avil’s blog has become hugely successful in a very short space of time which is testament to her down to earth approach and the fact that she is friendly and encouraging, making style and fashion accessible to all.
You must nip over to meet Iva at One Chic Mum – and boy is she ever One Chic Mum! A mum of four, Iva loves clothes and fashion and brings us outfits which she styles in a way to make them accessible and affordable to all. I love how, on her “about” page, she talks about how her blog is the one piece of her life that is totally under her control. How many of us can identify with that sentiment?
Gemma and Kerry at The Perfect Wife are dedicated to finding the most fun, interesting and original trends in food, fashion, home decor and chic places to stay. From delicious recipes to the must-have autumn coats this season and from mantle-piece decorations to how to get glossy locks – Gemma and Kerry have it covered. The Perfect Wife is like the perfect magazine – a little bit of everything that we enjoy, all in one place.
Wishing you all a lovely half term holiday – see you next month!
About Beth Goodrham
Beth is a stylist, fashion blogger, wife and Mum to three children. In 2010, realising that there were very few women over a “certain age” (that being 40), posting pictures of what they were wearing on a daily basis, Beth started her popular Style Guile blog. By cleverly mixing pieces from various high street stores, together with the odd designer piece, she brings you accessible, practical, affordable, fashion. Although a serious business, Beth doesn’t take fashion too seriously and is happy to post outfit “misses” as well as “hits”. Beth was delighted when Style Guile was short-listed for the Marie Claire Magazine fashion blog of the year award.
