Style Blog Round-up: New editor & how to shop the sales

Welcome to a new year and a new round up editor. I’m Avril from School Gate Style and I can’t wait to share with you my favourite blog posts from the past few weeks. Every month, I’ll be trawling through as many fashion blogs as I can (and that’s A LOT!) and bringing you the funniest, most interesting and inspiring posts.

Christmas & January sales are the buzz words this month, featuring in most of the blogs I read. I love seeing what other bloggers snap up in the sales and many provide links to bargains you may not have seen so are a great way to pick up a bargain yourself!

First up, the lovely Carol at Petite Style Online gave us a run down on how to approach the sales. It’s a little late now that the sales are coming to an end but it’s a post to bookmark for the summer sales for sure!

Trea over at Treasures & Pleasures picked up some bargains from Mango despite being on a spending ban…but no-one’s telling her husband, ok?

Next up, it’s Glam Rosie with her sale posts. The first one was another really useful one full of tips about how to shop well in the sales and the second one was full of lovely shoes…drool

I’ve also been enjoying Kat’s regular installments over at Does My Bum Look 40. Firstly her Reiss haul and then her Zara & Massimo Dutti recommendations

Sharron at Style At Every Age has picked up some gorgeous, classic, last forever items in the sales. Definitely quality over quantity and I admire her for this, her Givenchy bag is simply beautiful..

Finally, this post from Joanna over at Poppy’s Style was memorable for me because of the fab photo of all her parcels on her doorstep – check it out…if you’re like me, you’ll want to tear them all open too! This girl has a shoe collection TO. DIE. FOR. Scroll to the end and you’ll see her new purchases:
