Style: 10 spring fashion trends

Spring is in the air! I’ve had a good look through the BritMums blogging community and have found lots of inspiration for this season’s fashion trends.

Starting with childrenswear I’ve been featuring new pieces from my favourite indie brand. Lottie & Lysh has some brand spanking new exclusive designs for summer, like this organic Air Travel print on Essie’s favourite dress!

I am loving midi dresses this spring and Lisa has lots to choose from in her latest post. I especially like her yellow F&F dress, it has a real boho vibe and perfect for BBQ season.

It’s not only yellow that’s in the spotlight this season though, as Hollie’s post on her go-to spring colours will show. That blue though!

You might have noticed a new wave of Boden ambassadors over on Instagram and Anuma is one of them! Take a look at her post to see their newest collection of womenswear and kidswear.

I’m a big fan of mama merch – although not everyone agrees as this post I wrote recently shows! If you are like me and love a mum pun then check out this post from Sarah featuring a fab new range of loungewear.

New favourite tee alert! I got this one all the way from the US of A, I ordered it a few months back from @bee_and_mae , along with a super cute little tee for Essie. I’ve been making the most of this glorious weather and wearing it LOADS! I’ve been talking about mama merch and slogan tops on the blog, did you catch it? I’ll pop the link in my bio 😘 – [#ohheymama #teammotherly #mymamahood #stopdropandmom #mumsthatslay #fashionoverthirty #fashionover35 #fashionable30s #styledbyme #myhappycapture #littlestoriesofmylife #mamastyle #mama_pals #mothersaremagic #motherhoodrising #loveyourselftoday]

Talking of being a mum, how many of you work from home? I love this post from Leslie about her “WFHM” capsule wardrobe and finding pieces that spark joy.

Maisie has also been posting about her capsule wardrobe as she is doing the 10×10 challenge. The challenge involves taking 10 items and styling them in 10 different ways over 10 days. I’m not sure I am organised enough to take up the challenge, but how about you?

As the weather is turning decidely warmer I’ve packed away my winter boots, ready to get out my sandals. What is your favourite style of summer footwear? According to Becci, espadrilles are making a comeback and are what everyone will be wearing this year!

Also making a comeback this summer is the one-piece swimsuit and Ruth has five reasons why you should choose one. Bikini or one-piece, which do you prefer?

And finally, I just had to include this lovely post from Kate reminding us of the importance of filling our own cup – which she has done with some gorgeous new pyjamas!
