With the party season on the horizon (and it being the month of Halloween), there has been plenty of fancy dress(ing) up going on!
Dawn from Dear Mummy Blog popped along to Home Bargains to pick up a HUGE Halloween haul, which is epic – you should see all the goodies she got.
Just to name a few…she bought a Halloween felt bag for 99p, some skull party balloons for 79p (for 10), a witch’s broom stick for £1.29 and a hat to match for £1.99 (for adults), a few headbands for £1.49, a hanging skeleton for £1.69 and loads of sweets including a marshmallow lolly for 49p.
The most expensive item Dawn picked up was some skull bunting for the grand price of £1.99!
Meanwhile, I loved reading about Susan’s Cardboard Box Costumes post, Last Minute Cardboard Box Costumes For Kids – including her Halloween ideas. You really need to check out the post as the costumes as so imaginative!
It reminded me of my daughter, Nadja, who made a robot from a large cardboard box a few weeks ago. She protested profusely when I refused to let her wear it to school, but it did provide hours of entertainment at home though!
Beth from Twinderelmo offers a useful post on the 5 Best Places To Buy Disney and Harry Potter Clothing and Accessories.
Having ‘been and done’ Disneyland Paris, Beth and her family are fully embracing the Disney scene with a trip to Disneyworld next month!
Moving away from the fancy dress and more onto the dressing up to look great, Laura from Max and Mummy shared a post on La Coqueta Spanish Clothing for kids.
I’ve never heard of them before, but after a bit of online browsing, it looks like they offer some really stylish clothes that will provide a long shelf life due to their quality.
And Adam from The Daddy Life browsed around one of my favourite shops – Homesense, which is the sister brand to TKMaxx to pick up some fab items just before Halloween!
Amongst his bargain purchases were Halloween-themed scented candles (with Sea Salt Pumpkin being Adam’s favourite!), a pumpkin ornament to be used as a tealight holder (for £3.99), a black dotty ceramic pumpkin to be used as a sweet holder and a Halloween-themed handbag (for £3.99) for Adam’s daughter to collect her ‘Trick or Treat’ sweets in!
Homesense also had a great range of Halloween decorations and Adam made full use of this with a few purchases including a two-tier pumpkin decoration for £5.99.
Finally, Leah from home Family Life put together her debut Primark haul video which I loved watching.
She was shopping for autumn and picked up some fab bargains (mostly for her kids). They included a double pack of Spiderman pyjamas for £10, fleecy Paw Patrol PJs for £6, Paw Patrol slippers for £7, some t-shirts from £1.50 and a hoodie for £4.
For herself, Leah picked up a rose pink ‘Minnie’ sweatshirt and some striped tops for £4 each. She also found a few bits of makeup that she was really impressed with – so much so that she inspired me to pop to Primark and get some of my own – thanks Leah!
In fact, I’ve made a few haul videos this month if you’re interested in having a watch – Muji Autumn/Winter collection, What’s In Store At Lidl (Halloween Collection) and Bargain Hunting At B&M Stores!
I’m always on the look out for great shopping hauls for inspiration – so show me what you’ve been buying! Drop me an email at [email protected] or come and join the #SnappedUp Linky to share with others.
