Review Round-up: What a Come-back!

reviewsWow, what an amazing comeback for the BritMums Reviews round-up! Thank you to everyone who submitted a review to share. Between checking out your reviews and staying super-busy with reviews of all sorts over on Kiddy Reviews, I feel I may have neglected my husband somewhat this month! Anyone reviewing anything to help keep on top of things?

There were over 60 links in the July review round-up that reviewed something for everyone and I made sure I read every single one. It was difficult to select a few top picks, but here mine are for July:

All parents love a good buggy review and I particularly liked the pictures and detail provided by Make, Do & Push on the Britax Affinity, which comes with a whole host of colour packs to bring a pop of colour to your Summer strolling.

If you are looking for a changing bag, then Knot, Bump & Us has reviewed the Pacapod Jura, the dedicated separate pods for food and changing make your bag super organised.

Kids’ toys are not cheap so I’m a fan of anything that I know will last a few years. Bubba, Blue & Me have been reviewing the Zinc Chosen Scooter, which seems to have gotten a thumbs up from little boys and teenagers alike!

Beauty & Fashion

The World Cup may be over, but Carson’s mummy is using it to inspire some great fashion picks. Holland, Brazil and France are all represented in these great alternatives to the traditional football kit.

I haven’t really paid much attention to fashion brand Joules, but I think after reading your reviews I am going to have to. Mama Owl reviews a lovely pair of wellies by the brand and I am in love with the trench coat (along with some other mummy and kid pieces) that Mummy’s got Style models in her post.

And finally, even daddies need to pamper themselves, so for the metro daddies, have a look at this great new skincare range by Scaramouche & Fandango reviewed by Fashion Mommy.

With the summer holidays just around the corner, I know plenty of parents are going to need all the help they can get with planning how to keep children busy for those six weeks. Sticky Fingers has a fantastic round up of 11 family friendly days out in England, whilst Daft Mama has been staying in a gorgeous holiday home in Wales, which has definitely convinced me to look at staycations in a bit more detail.

For those looking to leave the UK, Juggle mum and Sonny and Luca have been checking out camping at la Croix Du Vieux Pont in France, which seems great for campers and glampers alike and as a honorary Yankee through marriage, I share my favourite things to do with kids in New York City over on Kiddy Reviews.

Are you a vlogger or just simply love capturing those moments on (digital) film? Then check out the Panasonic HC-V550 camcorder that Juggle Mum has been reviewing.

Meanwhile, Mamageek features The Psychology Student’s review of the LG G3 Smartphone. I love my iPhone, but this seems like a good contender for upgrade time.

With so many people allergic to cow’s milk, it’s nice to know there is a range of products that provide an alternative. Yorkshire Tots share their 10 reasons why they love St Helen’s Farm Goats’ milk products and My Two Mums have been trying out the lactose-free Rebel Kitchen Mylk, a selection of great flavoured non-dairy milkshakes.

For all the coffee lovers, Let Kids be Kids lets you in on her coffee moments with Cafepod, whilst showing off her lovely collection of mugs.

With all of us needing to pay more attention to the environment, we need to look at greener options for travel too. Juggle Mum has been testing out the Vauxhall Ampera, which she has on loan for six weeks (super jealous!).

And if that wasn’t enough, Mari from Mari’s World has been testing out the BMW i3 ULEV for the #GoUltraLow challenge, it’s interesting to see the difference between the two

What products and services have you been reviewing this month? Add them to the linky below and if you would like a RT, then tweet me @kiddyreviews using #britmumsreviews. Until next month…

About Jai Dhillon

Jai set up her site, Kiddy Reviews, after her own experiences as a new mum and finding a lack of one-stop review sites for parents. She splits her time between UK and NYC and gets a buzz from finding the best deals on the things she loves (that’s the accountant in her).
A once house proud, domestic goddess, she is giving in to her home being taken over by anything baby related. Goodbye dinner parties, hello playtimes and rolling around on the floor… although she secretly prefers the latter.
When she’s not reviewing or holiday hunting, you can find her curled up on the sofa with a cup of tea, catching up on one too many American TV shows.
