Review: Faith in Nature body wash

Review: Faith in Nature body wash

Blogger and former BritMums editor Nadine Hill tried out the Faith in Nature body wash. Here she reviews their eco-friendly body wash.

Grapefruit and orange body wash from Faith In Nature

I love a nicely scented body wash, something that smells fruity and wholesome — but I find that some brands smell a little ‘synthetic’. Not Faith in Nature body wash! I think it is because of their eco credentials, but these body washes are all SLS-  (aka sodium lauryl sulfate) and paraben-free and the label boasts a 99% natural origin.

About Faith in Nature products

Faith in Nature was founded in the 1970s in Scotland. It has at its core the belief that natural, ethical, products should be available to everyone. The brand advertises itself as vegan and cruelty free, including recycled and recyclable containers. Our writer has tried and tested Faith in Nature to see if their natural products do the job. (The BritMums reviewer was provided the body wash for free to test and review. All opinions are the reviewer’s own.)

Three body wash fragrances tested

I tried three washes in total, the Grapefruit & Orange one was energising and fab to use in my early morning shower. It really helped to wake me up and I loved the smell.

The Dragon Fruit wash intrigued me but it wasn’t my favourite smell. I got used to it by the end of the bottle (perhaps an acquired taste?) but on first impressions, I ranked it 3rd place.

I also tried the Seaweed & Citrus body wash. This was lovely. It had a pleasant scent and as it was detoxifying, I put it in my gym bag and used it after my workouts. It was nice to have the variety of scents as well.

Additional scents include Lavender & Geranium, Wild Rose, Coconut and Blue Cedar, among others. See the full range on the Faith in Nature site.

How the body wash feels

All the Faith in Nature body washes felt thick and good quality to lather on, without any stickiness. The size is decent (400ml), so you get a lot of washes in one bottle and the flip lid is handy in the shower to avoid spills and ensure that you only take the amount you wish to use.

Faith in Nature refills

One of the great, eco-conscious elements is the Faith in Nature refills. You can refill your small bottles from larger 5L containers — reducing the amount of plastic you use and buy. It’s more economical for consumers too, making a great solution for us and for the planet! I like the fact that I can reduce the amount of packaging I use.

Is the Faith in Nature body wash good?

All in all I liked the varieties I tried. I love the ethos of the company, the variety of scents and the fact that I’m not using harmful chemicals each time I shower.

The prices are all around the £4.34 mark, and the bottles are handy for washing out and reusing at home — you can buy bulk direct from Faith in Nature.

I recommend the body washes and will be trying others in the future!
