My Best Post of the Week >> add yours!

Half term here for some, just around the corner for others and snow in Scotland!! I have to admit I put the heating back on this week we were so cold.

What is wrong with our weather system? Where did Spring go? If you find it please bring it back we’re off to Devon next week and I’d like to pack t-shirts and shorts not wellies and raincoats.

As you’ve seen we’re on a 5 week countdown now to BritMums Live and we’ve opened up a fun meme Linky you may like to join in, a kind of get to know each other before the big day, it’s all so exciting!

Next Wednesday the finalists for the BiBs categories will be announced, there has been exceptional talent this year and I am as curious as you to know who will get through.

We paid special attention to the Fresh Voice category this year and those who wished could send in a post to go up on the blog. We had some brilliant entries well worth checking out.

I started my blogging journey as a means to practise my writing with the idea of one day writing a book then I got sidetracked massively by the blogging community and did everything but hone my writing skills but this week my #MBPW is a writing one. I joined in Julia’s 100 Word Challenge. #100WCGU She does another one for schools up and down the country encouraging classes to write and this one for grown ups – note the GU in the hashtag – because we’re all kids too at the end of the day and want to play the game.

Every week she sets a prompt; it might be a phrase, a photo or other. Then you have 100 words to write your interpretation.

The photo she used this week is one of mine taken last year at Sandy Balls in the New Forest, a wonderful destination we stayed at and here’s my Secret of the river
