I’m getting married…today!

Whilst you are reading this, depending what time of course, I could be at the hairdressers, walking down the aisle, sitting down to a delicious English celebration meal or cutting carpet to the DJ’s groovy tunes.

A project I’ve been working on since last June when Other Half and I decided to fore-go the brand new kitchen and demolition work needed at home and blow the budget on a wedding. Did I make the right decision? I’m still hankering after that kitchen you know…

I’ve been amazed at how much time and effort a keep-it-simple wedding takes up. As we already have a family we weren’t interested in the All-bells-singing-and-dancing wedding, we wanted to try and keep to a budget and I’m proud to say we’ve almost done it, just don’t let him know about those few extras that I really needed to make sure the day was a winner. Sshhhh!

You may know I write this #MBPW post the day before and schedule it, so as I sit here on my last day I confide that my dress wasn’t ready to pick up on Wednesday and I have to go at 1pm, I ordered a hair clasp off internet and that hasn’t arrived, I have a Gatwick pick up to do at 17.35 which means tackling the M25 in the rush hour *groan* and my daughter and granddaughter in only two days have trashed my house. Oh and I have 25 to lunch on Sunday as it’s Mother’s day!

So I’ll keep it short and sweet, I wish you a fabulous weekend in case you’re interested I’ve scheduled a love letter to my future husband on my blog today because my blog is my diary and when I’m old and grey I want to look back and remember my thoughts and feelings at this precious and exciting time.
