The Mother of All Video Round-ups!

The Mother of All Video Round-ups!

video roundup 610This is quite literally the ‘Mother’ of all video round-ups! Not only have we had the most video submissions this month since I started writing these updates, but our theme for March is Mother, Mum, Mummy, Mama, Mom, Mam, whatever your word for it- this one’s about us.

Mother’s Day in the UK comes at the end of this month and I will be enjoying a 3 course lunch at a local carvery that has a Michael Bublé tribute act performing after we eat. Both my Mum and Mother in Law are also going to be there, so I hope it will be a fun, relaxing, slightly tipsy day for all of us, letting the Dads of the family take the strain!

To celebrate Mother’s Day this year, I recorded a vlog to share a beautiful poem that sums up motherhood for me. I hope you enjoy it.

Rachel from This Mid 30’s Life also embraced the ‘motherhood’ theme. Have a look at her funny take on Mother’s Day and what her family buy for each other to mark the occasion!

Elsewhere in vlog-land, you were out with your camcorders capturing some fun moments up and down the country.

Kirstie from The Family Adventure Project shares a video presented by her eight year old about jumping in and out of seven scottish lochs in a day at new year!

Sian (Helpful Mum) from the blog You’re Not From Round Here shows us about her day at the National Railway Museum in York at February Half term! It is a great free day out with young children- and it is indoors which is perfect for a rainy day!

Carolynne from Mummy Endeavours with three other bloggers took part in a cycle #TeamHonkRelay in aid of Sport Relief and features a vlog on her post about the day! See her adventures at the blog and you can still donate to the cause at this link!

Helen from Actually Mummy did a post about her 6 year old learning to ski, and a video of his progress including a review of some rather funky ski clothes! There was a bit that made me giggle when the young ski dude went backwards on the slopes!!

Lyndsey, the ‘Queen of Easy Green’ has done two vlogs this month, reviewing the Gtech Multi here and also sharing her fabulous food waste reduction tips here – she shows how we can all find an extra £720 a year by being a bit more organised!

Sera, the Agoraphobic Fashionista has reviewed a Babyliss Boutique Soft Waves Styler. I love videos like this so you can actually see for yourself how the styler works on a real person! Her hair is an awesome colour too!!

Emma from Emma Nutrition talks about if supplements are bad and explores the reasons people take supplements.

Tinuke from Circus Mum vlogged about her experience of the Fitbug Orb – a fitness gadget! Plus she has a very sexy voice!

Liz from The Mum Blog shows us what the children’s facilities are like onboard the Carnival Breeze. It makes me long for my next cruise holiday!!

Please use the linky below to share your own video posts from recent weeks. If you have any new posts to include in next month’s video roundup, you can tweet me @Businessmum, or email me through my blog, JuggleMum.

Helpful information alert! BritMums published this during the month. The post doesn’t actually contain video but it is a rather helpful post for vloggers who want to do video to learn how and where to position your laptop or tablet for an effective webcast. The tips come from Nigel Camp, a video expert and author of blog The Video Effect and speaker at the last BritMums Live so I wanted to include it in the Video Round-up.

The theme for April’s Video Round-up is ‘Spring’! Maybe you have Spring cleaning tips? Or traditions around Spring that you can share. Do you have a Spring recipe? What are you doing at Easter? As always, interpret the theme ‘Spring’ how you wish and send your blog posts containing your video to me by Friday 11th April to be included in the next edition!

Until then – Happy Mother’s Day!

About Nadine Hill

Nadine is a marketer, digital creator and ex BritMums Editor who started blogging in the mid 2000's whilst working from home around her young family. Her blog JuggleMum won an award for video and covered many lifestyle subjects from fashion to food to entrepreneurship whilst also inspiring content creation for her YouTube channel @MrsNadineHill. Nadine loves hanging out with her teenage children who keep her (mostly) current - although apparently no-one says 'hanging out' any more! When she's not with her family she's at the gym or in a coffee house in Yorkshire somewhere (she's been to most of them!) - photographing her cappuccino for the grid.
