The Met Office WOW site teaches kids about the weather and lets you contribute to Met weather reports
The British love to talk about the weather. We asked you to share your stories and pictures at the @BritMums recent #BritishWeatherWatch Twitter Party.
The party was sponsored by the Met Office, and now, with the Met Office Weather Observations Website (WOW), we can really do something to get kids involved with the weather, help them learn about it and keep the dreaded summer holiday ‘I’m boreds’ to a minimum.
The aim of the WOW site is to help people learn about the weather by getting involved in it. You can submit observations about your local weather and get your children excited about the weather they see and experience. The Met Office uses your observations to verify and help make its forecasts even more accurate, so your kids’ inputs could really make a difference! Check out the WOW site now.
