Litter is such an important topic to us as families — as parents we become more aware of litter because we’re so often out and about with our children in parks, in city centres, in public spaces, and we notice it. At the same time, we’re teaching our children not to drop packaging when out and to put rubbish away at home.
This weekend McDonald’s volunteers will be tackling litter in areas of our towns and cities and hundreds of you have been voting for the areas you want to see them clean up.
BritMums influencers will be present at these clean up events up and down the country, and we’d like you to come and join us. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a more satisfying way to make an impact locally in a weekend. How often do you actually get to make a visible difference in your community?

Did you know about the McDonald’s environmental ethos?
The Love Where You Live Event is part of McDonald’s UK’s commitment to environmental practices. It has partnered with Keep Britain Tidy as part of its 12-year Love Where You Live anti-littering campaign. Through the campaign, McDonald’s encourages local communities to take action and work together to tackle litter in their area.
Not only that: McDonald’s UK has been powering its delivery fleet with recycled biodiesel from cooking oil for 10 years. They are also starting to roll out paper straws across restaurants
