Hello and welcome back to another Instagram round-up. This month we’ll be looking at the best Instagram hacks, tricks and tips to help grow your account and keep the momentum going.

I found a great post detailing 10 ways to grow your Instagram following. As Elle explains it’s not all about the numbers: engagement and keeping consistent is also key. She actually uses a great example of staying true to your audience and posting what matters to them, by telling us all about her dog’s account that has over 50,000 followers! I know, I know..

So we’ve determined that consistency is important but how do we style our images for better results? Here are 3 tips for styling better Instagram images from Caitlin at Rising Tide. This article will be helpful if a carefully curated feed is your thing.

Once your images have caught someone’s eye they will often go straight to your bio to check out you out. If you need any help or want to re-word your bio so it really works for you then head over and have a read of How to write your Instagram bio like a boss. There are some really great tips here that give pointers for writing an attention-grabbing bio.

Another good tip is to have an Instagram landing page on your blog, it will determine how much traffic you are getting from Instagram and also gives people a good starting point if they’re clicking through to your blog from Instagram for the first time. I couldn’t actually find an example of this within the BritMums community but judging from a question I posted on a facebook thread lots of users think it’s a good idea. I will be implementing one on my Instagram/blog over the next week or so, I’ll let you know how I get on with it.

If you’re really keen to implement a strategy to your Instagram then it’s worth keeping in mind the different limitations that it offers; if you are an active user and want to grow then knowing your Instagram limits is important. Thanks to Martyn for his insight on this.

For a super concise breakdown of things you can do to make positive changes to your Instagram today, I’ll leave you with 3 basic basics to boost your Instagram from Gym Bunny Mummy.

As always here is a mini round-up of 5 of my favourite Instagrammers, and my top picks for October:

@loveyourselfslim is a new account from our very own BritMums editor Nadine. Sharing stories, insights & empowerment about emotional eating, self esteem & body image. Use the hashtag #loveyourselfslim to be heard & show support.

@innocentcharmchats is a fav of mine with Kara sharing a daily dose of positivity and her love of upcycling, vintage and fashion.

@modernmummyuk is a brilliant fun account and in her own words ‘loves: cats, tattoos, eating, music taking photos, junk shop shopping, woolly hats and roadtrips’ Phew, there’s basically something for everyone!

@keepingupwiththejonesfamily I love this bright and beautiful account from Sara-Jayne: Capture & Celebrate the Everyday. Disney Bride, Wrangler of Boys & Huskies BIB Awards Shortlist 2016

@helpfulmum: If you like stunning scenery and rolling hills then this is the Instagram account for you.
