Summer is definitely in the air, in blog land. Many bloggers have been getting down and dirty in their gardens (well sort of) and some of you have also been providing inspiration on what we can all do with our outdoor spaces. I have some fantastic summer garden inspiration to share with you this month.
First up I wanted to show you my own gardening project, which has been a real labour of love. Its my summerhouse project which since it was complete, you can’t get us out of! Its the perfect haven, rain or shine!
You know when in your mind’s eye, you imagine an area of you garden to look a certain way. I was green with envy when I spied how Mademoiselle Poirot has been updating her patch last month. Oh my, I have always wanted to have a fireplace in my garden and to have all of the pots, and plants, well there is nothing not to like about it!
If colour is you thing, how about this post from The Ordinary Lovely on getting your garden ready for summer, with lots of colour. Who knew about garden on a roll? Such a great idea, and the accessories she has chosen work brilliant together! I also love this post about creating the perfect outdoor space from Cate St Hill. She explains that you should :
Give it the same care and attention, and you’re more likely to create a space that you actually want to spend time in, even if it’s a bit overcast. Plan the space carefully, clearly defining intimate areas for eating and entertaining, lounging and gardening.
Looking for inspiration on a larger scale, with a garden structure? Well on the fresh design Blog Rachel has gathered together all of the hot new designs from the Chelsea Flower show. The garden garage is genius for a small space.
Jen has been busy thinking of garden party ideas for her tween. In fact I think these would work for adults too. Who doesn’t love a neon and gold zoo animal adorning their party table?
