So daffodils are starting to appear, and the snowdrops are out in full force. It’s a sure sign that Spring is on the way, and with it comes new ranges and designs for our homes and interiors. Have you spotted anything you love yet? Got any plans for makeovers or decorating projects in the next few weeks? The warmer weather always invokes our inspiration and I for one have a few projects I’m itching to get started on.
Antonia over at Tidy Away Today has been creating her own unique wall collage (one of my favourite pastimes!) and it’s starting to look pretty fab. I love how she wants it to ‘grow’ over time; just how a wall collage should be. And Becky has been putting her thrifty expertise to great use and shows us how we can make the most of our left over or chipped china on her great new blog Thrifty Home.
A few bloggers went along to see the huge Interiors UK show over at the NEC a few weeks ago and had a great experience, well pretty much. It’s a shame that Karen from Well I Guess This is Growing Up had a bad time with the photography, but managed to enjoy the show all the same. Amanda from The Ana Mum Diary didn’t have the same problems and managed to showcase some fabulous finds and décor. It was a great show with some great designers and new talent showcasing their products.
The very lovely Jenny from The Treasure Hunter talks us through how fashion trends end up in our homes in her great article, From Catwalk to Couch. You may have even spotted the original in Glamour magazine, like I did! Well done Jenny. And talking of trends, are you a fan of clashing colours in your home? It’s a trend that’s really caught on and Rachel from Three Years and Home has put it into practice to really great effect. You’ve got to love those cushions!
How about the trend for including concrete in your décor? Now this isn’t for the faint-hearted, but there is a great alternative, and Stacey at The Design Sheppard has found some amazing concrete style wallpaper. Great if you’re worried about the real thing being too permanent.
As for me, well I was incredibly taken with some amazing wallpaper that showcased on The Great Interior Design Challenge show. It was handmade from paper in an origami style and proved to be very popular once I’d posted about it. I even had some great chats with designers too – don’t you just love Twitter!

Thanks for the mention Jen. I guess you can't win them all with trade shows! But I'm so glad to hear you got a good day out of the event. I did see so many wonderful exhibits whilst I was there. Plenty of inspiration and ideas to work with :)
