Welcome to the school summer holiday edition of the Home and Design round-up. In this post I will be coveting and featuring makeovers, a gorgeous AirBnB property to lust after, some nifty DIY and of course glorious gardens.
Let me whet your appetite with this post I spotted on Kat’s blog about a recently beautiful home that she stayed in, in Somerset. I love the homely feel with all the finishing touches, gorgeous furniture too.
I’ve been working on a makeover project for my eldest daughters bedroom, its been hard work, I can tell you, and I shall be showing you the results next month. Hollybobs is also in the planning stage, and looking at adding a little sunshine into her kitchen.
Nadine has been busy putting the final touches to her new blog office, with so much storage and organisation it would make any blogger envious, and productive I hope Nadine! Another office area to share with you is this bright and airy one from Innocent Charm Chats, who has finally unpacked her boxes, and tidied up her desk for us to have a nose, I love it!
This was a lovely sneak peek into Arlo’s art choices from A Sunny Island, I love the bold primary colours in the room and artwork. Whilst Jill from the Cake Junki has been busy doing a neutral living room makeover, what a transformation!
Moving outside now, because that’s what summer is all about after all. I have a couple of garden chair and bench makeover projects. First up this eBay project from Life at 139a , I really wish I was as talented with a needle and thread, I love the sunshine yellow of the fabric and paint. Where as Modern Mummy take on a garden bench makeover, is to use sleepers and personalise it with her own and her children’s names on, inspired!
Finally something I would love to get better at, and it’s to have a dedicated cut flower patch. What interior lover doesn’t love having fresh flowers in their home! The Reading Residence has some great tips to help on that post. Finally from Penny at A Residence, a garden transformation for a very worthy lady. I bet that was truly hard work to achieve.
