Henley Literary Festival: Book Club Friday

Screen Shot 2014-10-06 at 11.55.14What do Amanda Jennings, Cesca Major & Abbie Ross all have in common?

They are awesome authors that ran a book club session at the Henley Literary Festival, sponsored by BritMums.

Amanda Jennings, whose two novels Sworn Secret and Judas Scar are firm BritMums favourites, was joined by Abbie Ross (author of Dinners, a very funny memoir of her 1970s childhood when her parents swapped central London for rural Wales and she is intrigued by a nearby commune) and Cesca Major, who is currently working on her first historical novel, having published commercial fiction under the name of Rosie Blake

The audience was packed with keen readers and budding novelists, all very interested in the writing process and what motivates each writer.

A women sitting nearby commented on how she found the session inspiring, and that she might just go an write her own novel. All we can say is, If she comes to BritMums Live, she can get even more advice on writing her book.

We’re looking forward to welcoming Amanda, Cesca and Abbie as speakers for BritMums Live 2015!
