Hello, good evening/afternoon and welcome from WitWitWoo Towers.
I had a very exciting week last week, none of which I can talk about, obvs. How annoying is that?! (Very.) All will be revealed soon enough though but a whole lotta fun was had. In contrast, I’m back at work today wondering what to have for tea and whether I should bother sewing up the hole in my tights.
You’ll also all be delighted to know I now have a charger for my Mac and I’m blogging again (you’ll sleep well tonight,) but this is also meaning later nights for me. The zombie look is sooooo 2012.
I’ve managed to find even more new blogs this week and have a great selection for you so … let’s do this!
First up is Tom from Diary of the Dad who has done womankind a favour – he’s got his young son Dylan in housework training. High five! I’m all for getting kids involved in chores and if we can trick them into thinking it’s fun – even better. Either way, another boy who knows where the washing machine is is alright by me.
Next up is an amazingly original way of announcing some special news. I’m so pleased for Dear Beautiful Boy (& Mr DBB) and … well, check out this special vlog to find out what’s up! I’m not one to spoil a surprise.
I’ve only just ‘met’ Chickenruby – how come everyone kept her a secret!? Living as an expat in South Africa, Chickenruby’s blog is fascinating. This particular post is about feral tweens – something a whole lotta us can relate to!
Warning! Rant Alert! The Potty Diaries is in one of those moods … and today she is talking about the boring routine of life and the whole ‘kids having to have a number two before the bath’ thing. I suffer from that too. Not me personally you understand. I mean Skig. Oh never mind …
I love the look of Miss Cherry Red’s blog – it’s so, so … her. In Dear So & So – the Motorist Edition, I can totally relate to the frustration of having to deal with morons on the road when we’re both obviously such amazing drivers.
Ministry of Mum is another new find of mine. Kids discovering swearing is such fun, isn’t it? (Note sarcasm.) Kids love to push boundaries and I think if they were to stop at Blooming Heck, that’d be just about manageable, but when they start to rhyme bit with tit and shi … well, you get the picture.
Jenny from Mummy Mishaps has been swimming. When she’s not checking to see if she’s got a wedgie upon exiting the pool or whether her face is streaked with mascara, I’m sure she has a great time! See, this is why I never bother.
The Coffee Lady has written about frozen potted meat and pickle sandwiches covered in Maltesers this week. Yum! Anyway, she’ll explain in Lets Do Lunch. Check it out.
I loved Kellie’s post from Big Fashionista called The Rise and Fall of a Street Style Model. I don’t quite know where to begin. It involves getting legless (and headless,) drinking, flashing, dousing your vajayjay in sheep dip, Frankie Cocozza and a whole array of disgusting shenanigans in between. Loved it!
And finally, another Motherventing classic. Now I’m sure you’re all aware of this week’s furore surrounding a certain author – coincidentally, approaching the launch of her newest book. I’m not going to give Ford Corgina (aka Bagina Ford) any more press, but you must read this Sex post. I think a bit of wee may have escaped whilst I read it. Which was nice.
Right, I’m off to sew up the hole in my tights (and other exciting chores – there’s a great book title if ever I heard one,) so bye for now. Have a great weekend everyone!
Ever been picked as one of our Good Reads? Go grab the badge (at the bottom of this page) and wear with pride. You rock!
About Kate Sutton
Kate Sutton is the owner of the wonderfully eclectic lifestyle blog, WitWitWoo. A mother to two boys, she has a knack for making the most banal things much more interesting than they really are. Normally found talking about cake, sausages and Riverdance on Twitter (@iamwitwitwoo) her considerably sized, Titian hair can be seen from satellite. Kate loves to dance, sing (very) badly and laugh a lot. Her fiercely competitive streak has now earnt her the title of world record breaker. She has added this to her existing list of accolades, which include Apprentice interviewee, Smirnoff model and ex-majorette.

Ooooh, thank-you so much for including me. I never knew a video of the husband and me being silly would be so popular. Being blogger of the week was the icing on the cake, which surely makes this the cherry on top. Thanks. X
