Last month I declared 2015 as the ‘Year of the Vlog’ and BritMums bloggers didn’t disappoint! This month you have sent in some fab posts containing video, and lots of them! You can see what you have all been up to below.
However before we get there, there is an announcement. I have been speaking to the BritMums ‘powers that be’, and it has been decided that we would love to include all videos in the BritMums Video Round-up, whether they have been embedded into a blog post or not! This means that vloggers who have YouTube channels but don’t have blogs, can now enter their vlogs for inclusion in the round-up and also those bloggers out there who have done a video and had no intention of placing it onto their blogs. You can have your vlog included too!
The decision was made because there is lots of vlogging talent out there and it is a shame to overlook video that is great but hasn’t been posted onto a blog post. This way, we can celebrate all vloggers, whether they blog as well or not! So we would like ALL members of the BritMums network (this means BritDads too and members who perhaps don’t have kids but are within the network) to send in their video content. Either send me a blog post URL which contains your video or send me a link to your video on YouTube, and I can feature what comes in.
I did a hair tutorial this month which was ‘How to do a frizz eliminator blow dry!’ If you have coarse hair like mine, it is a must see!! I also vlogged some ‘food inspo’ this month with a couple of recipe videos providing ideas for Valentine’s Day!
Elsewhere Kate from WitWitWoo went to Paris recently. You can watch her “Ooh la la” from Notre Dame to the Eiffel Tower here!
Kirsty and Clara from My Two Mums are on a massive mission – to vlog daily for 2015! You can watch their post including several videos on their ‘one month in’ round-up in this post. They take us with them to buy loo roll, I love this kind of dedication!
Kara from Chelsea Mamma invites us to her daughter’s Princess Party in this post. Plus on the Frozen theme, Joanne from Charlie Moos films her 6 year old singing the famous song from the movie!
Emma from Emma’s Savvy Savings bags herself a beauty haul worth £102 for just £17.99! Here’s how she did it…
Donna from The London Mum shows us a week in the life of her 1 year old in this vlog. He gets his hair cut and goes shopping, and stops off for coffee with mum!
Sian from You’re Not From Round Here does a month in a minute for January and also provides a delicious recipe for Grapefruit and Walnut Muffins.
Clare at Maybush Studio demonstrates her doughnut maker and shows both a sweet and savoury recipe to use in it!
Whilst Kirsty at The Family Adventure Project has been busy on a Bear Grylls survival course and also on a tree top adventure in Wales!
Lisa from Family Life in Spain proves that Costa Del Sol days out don’t need to cost the earth with her visit to Parque Fluvial.
Joy from Pink Oddy vlogs about the Lego Mia Roadster in a blog post which talks about child gender differences and the messages that toys can send.
Eileen at ET Speaks from Home has done three vlogs this month: A Foodsaver review; A slushy maker review and also shows us how to make a Chinese lantern for Chinese New Year in this video.
Jen from JenJBBoutique has put together a very touching video about her son’s first year. It is a lovely keepsake for the family to look back on and you can watch it here.
Please visit each others posts and comment – remember, sharing is caring!
The vlog prompt theme next month is light! You could vlog about your #OOTD fashion posts or an interiors piece. Maybe a vlog about British Summer Time and the lighter nights? As always, interpret the theme how you wish and send me your vlogs by Friday 13th March 2015. You can tweet me, @Businessmum, or email me through my blog JuggleMum.
