Family Days Out Round-Up: Half Term Special

I don’t know about you but our half term was a manic one and we spent the week making the most of the spring weather with lots of days out and about.

One of our destinations for the week was the Warner Bros. Studio Tour as it was a special week where they opened No.4 Privet Drive to visitors for the very first time. I was not the only blogger to visit, with Suburban Mum and Mad Mum of 7 visiting too.

The better weather saw people getting out and enjoying the sunshine and Little Hearts, Big Love had a magical time at Chiltern Open Air Museum whilst Verily Victoria Vocalises had a fascinating tour of the Old Bushmills Distillery, Chez Maximka took in the delights of the seaside at Brighton Pier and the Coombe Mill gang enjoying the delights of a Cornish beach.

Going back in time was the order of the day for some, with Suburban Mum setting off to ride on the Steam Trains with her family at Woody Bay, Rock and Roll Pussycat headed to Stonehenge, Frugal Family explored the delights of Middleham Castle and Family Travel Times took the family to see where Richard III died at Bosworth Battlefield.

Getting up close with animals was also popular day out and the McAllens visited Green Dragon Eco Farm and Plutomium Sox to West Midlands Safari Park to see the animals, Mummy From the Heart got to feed the deer at Knole in Kent, The Mummy Diary made the most of Open Farm Sunday, My Two Mums enjoyed a spot of bug hunting at Upton Country Park and we got to meet some magnificent horses at the Heavy Horse Centre in Dorset.

Theme Parks are always a great place to visit to keep the family entertained and it seems that many of you agree, with Birds and Lillies heading to Alton Towers, ET Speaks from Home visiting Chessington, Hex Mum Blog taking her tribe to Thorpe Park and All the Beautiful Things and I at Legoland.

Festival season has well and truly started with Truly Madly Kids and Mum of Three World visiting Wychwood, Time to Craft at the Bath and West Show and Five Adventurers taking in the delights of Geronimo.

The weather wasn’t perfect all week but that did not stop the fun. The Gingerbread Mum entertained her family at Kidzania in London and Yorkshire Tots headed to the Rainbow Factory for lots of role-play fun.
