Dads Round-Up: Is anyone out there?

Dads Round-Up: Is anyone out there?

dadsWe’ve all got to start somewhere.

You write your first blog posts, link them to your Twitter account and hope that someone will read the thing you spent all that time writing.

Sometimes people just blog to get the thoughts out and don’t care about stats and numbers but, truly, it’s wonderful to get feedback from people, it’s great to get comments and it feels amazing when lots of people read your posts.

Sometimes, when  you feel a bit meh, these things can help fire up the awesome mojo, and you carry on carrying on. I remember almost peeing myself with excitement when a blog post I wrote, back in the early days, got 20 views in a day. I had to have a lie down. It felt great. And it kept me going.

I’m profiling some dads and bloggers this week I’ve not featured before and who have under 150 followers on Twitter. All deserve more and all deserve lots and lots of views on their fantastic blogs.

But don’t just take my word for it. Take a look at the following and give these guys some sugar. Click on these links and read some very, very, VERY good blogs.

Thanks for reading.

About Spencer

@ADadCalledSpen - I'm not a writer or a journalist, just proud to be a dad to two amazing children. I blog at Dad and Proud and talk about parenting, divorce, mental health and Life. Frequently at the same time. My favourite colour is yellow and I find moths a bit creepy.

Hi Spen,

Can I use this post to ask for a favour from any Dad bloggers who read this, and from you yourself?

I need comments from Dads on my new blog "Ask Cat...", I am a relationship counsellor so it is about relationships. I have a young mum called 'Caroline' who needs some support on my latest post, her husband has just left her. He is acting out of character and has been a good husband and father in the past, but he is adamant that he wants to leave at the moment.

Sorry if this isn't the place but I don't know how to spread the word to male bloggers. Many many thanks, Cat www.staycalmandcontent.com/blog

A gold mine! So glad to have found this. Have recently joined a USA-dominated group of dad bloggers because I had failed to find a UK-equivalent community. Still quite new to this blogging thing, but glad to hear about others out there who want to celebrate dad-hood too!
