It’s safe to say Christmas is well and truly upon us. You’ll be reading this with either a smug grin on your face, happily declaring to everyone you meet how organised you are and ready for Christmas, or with gritted teeth thinking about those people with the smug grins.
Either way, it’s here!
What is also here is the BritMums Dad Blogger Round-up which in December, is inevitably Christmas themed. What are the dads talking about in the lead up to the most magical time of year?
Nigel from DIY Daddy Blog has been explaining how his childhood experiences of Christmas have shaped how the Christmas of today is celebrated in his home now he’s the parent. Give his post ‘Christmas Past Christmas Now!‘ a read.
As Tom from Diary Of The Dad attempts to be less of a Grinch this year, he lets us in on ‘Five Christmas Traditions I’m Looking Forward To This Year‘. I’ll be honest, there’s a couple of eye-brow raises in there, Gammon For Breakfast?!
Every Christmas there’s a huge debate as to whether Die Hard is a Christmas film or not. I’m going to leave it to Tim aka Slouching Towards Thatcham to give you all the ins and outs of the film so you can agree or disagree with his verdict, in his post ‘On The Box: Die Hard‘.
This one is a bit of a cheat really, it’s Giles from You The Daddy, but he’s drafted in help on ‘Five Festive Life Hacks’ from Rosie Dalling, Healthy Selfish. The hacks Rosie shares with Giles though are well worth a read so after reading it I couldn’t not include it. Learn to love Christmas again is their mission with this post.
The Christmas period for many is all about festive TV. So I’m going to end this months Christmas Dad Blogger Round-up with Phil’s post ‘Christmas Movies: Our Naughty & Nice List‘ The Parenting Phils, Phil and Philippa run us through the best Christmas movies and festive TV shows that are a must watch this December.
And there we have it, Christmas is almost here and something tells me it’s going to be a good one. Keep an eye out for more from myself, David from David and Donetta! We’d massively appreciate your support on our bid to upload a video to our YouTube channel EVERY SINGLE DAY in 2019, I’ll keep you updated when I’m back here in February.
Have a very merry Christmas and an awesome new year, from me and all the Dad Bloggers!
