From June to August, Story of Mum are looking for bloggers who are mothers to become Curator/Creators on our virtual exhibition tour: Story of Mum: mums making an exhibition of ourselves.
The virtual exhibition tour is a ‘motherhood and identity’ themed blog hop. We’re collaborating with BritMums to spread the message that mothers are amazing, creative, complex and crucial. We might see ourselves as taxi-drivers, teachers and peace-keepers, a legend, lover, or ‘just’ a dogsbody, But however we describe ourselves, our stories matter. They define us, and those around us. What impact has motherhood had on your identity?
Your blog is your very own curated space, a place to share incredible motherhood stories, and communicate your vision to the world. We’re taking that one step further and putting you and your stories in MK Gallery, the Exchange Gallery, Photographers’ Gallery and the Museum of Motherhood. Join us to show mums that we are seen, we are heard, and we are valued. Curate and create a virtual exhibition visit, connect with mothers around the world, and become part of this exciting global tour:
Curate
Choose someone else’s submission from our online exhibition galleries: it might be an I’m a Mum and a… portrait, Identity Parade, Mama Mash-Up or My Mum-Story that you love. Or shuffle a short poem into shape from some of the lines that mums have submitted to the Join Our Mums’ Poem so far.
Create
Make an exhibition of yourself and join in! Take your own photo, create your own mama masterpiece, or add your own words to one of the activities in the exhibition galleries. Add your creations to story of mum, and you’ve got all the elements you need to host your exhibition stop on our global tour.

This virtual exhibition is part of Story of Mums’ first ever exhibition and events programme: Story of Mum: Mums making an exhibition of ourselves.
