I suppose its goes hand in hand with Blogging that we are creatives. What I love to see when I read posts from bloggers who are interested in interiors and design, is how creative, thrifty and inventive the blogger is, and that’s what I wanted to show you today.
First up from ‘write like no one’s watching‘ (what a great name for a blog) is this autumnal fireplace. I love that because the main feature is the blackboard, it can be changed throughout the year, just think of the fun possibilities! I also coveted the copper and glass containers on the fireplace, where did you get those?
I absolutely love this boys bedroom from ‘the owl and the accordian‘, the mini gallery is my favourite thing, with the cut out cowboys from an old annual, they look fab! I love the inventiveness of making a mock pelmet from an old duvet and that it echos the radiator cover, it really works!
Perfect for this time of year is another repurposing post, from ‘zing, zing tree‘. This time it’s a wall hanging from helicopters! No, not those helicopters silly, but sycamore seeds. How cool does that look!
On ‘the ana mum diary’ (that’s me!) I have been personalising a mirror (using my favourite crafting tool a Cricut) by etching it with a positive message to wake up to in the morning. What do you think?
It looks like I’m not the only one who has been getting creative with a Cricut, check out ‘love, chic living’s‘ mini wall collage. Jen has really thought out of the box by adding a pattern of shapes direct onto the wall, and not been constrained to just the frames!
So that’s it for this month, I hope it has inspired you.
