Craft Round-up: hedgehogs, skulls and worry dolls

I LOVE this time of year for crafts – Autumn, Halloween and then the quick build up to Christmas. All three packed with great opportunities for crafting with the kids. Lots of nature inspired crafts for Autumn, spooky fun for Halloween and of course the anticipation of Christmas just make it all just a wonderful time, to sit down together and build some of those childhood memories!!!

So. Putting a call out for “latest crafts”, did result in yet another fab selection of ideas for you:

Here come the girls share some lovely little tissue paper pumpkins. The bright orange is nice and colourful and will surely brighten up an dreary Autumn day. Nice and easy to make too!

 

 

 

 

Mum of One engages is some great recycling.. take one green bottle and turn it into a pretty vase.. I am not sure whether it was intential or not, but I also think this is a cute Christmas (tree) decoration.

 

 

 

 

I love owls, so I adore these cute FIMO owl from Jennifer’s Little World. FIMO is such a fun and versatile material you sould definitely give this a try!

 

 

 

 

I love these Worry Dolls from Actually Mummy and they are so on my to do list with the kids. What is even more impressive, is that Actually Mummy doesn’t “do crafts”. Well, I think you DO do crafts. These are fabulous!

 

 

 

 

Nothing quite like getting ready for Halloween.. or a Pirate party… or just make your own DIY Wrapping paper… Great fun from Kids Chaos.

 

 

 

 

Whilst on the topic of skulls.. how about these genius plastic spoon “day of the dead” skulls from Domestic Goddesque? So colourful and a great way to celebrate loved ones.

 

 

 

 

I love all things nature and currently we are going acorn crafts and conker crafts mad over at Red Ted Art, so I ADORE these acorn people from Green Mum. How cute?!

 

 

 

 

Oh my and Peakle Pie sure impressed me with this DIY Pink Castle. CLEVER!! It looks fabulous. My daughter would adore it!

 

 

 

 

Love these oh so colourful birds for Craftulate – they look super easy to make, are great for fine motor skills and look so fun!

 

 

 

 

I do love all things nature. These Beech Nuts hedgehogs are just SO SO SO cute. Clever Me and My Shadow.

 

 

 

 

Super adorable cereal box (!!) animals from Zing Zing Tree are a must see this crafty season. Which Winter animals would you make?

 

 

 

 

And finally we haev these super simple ribbon hair bands from Lisa Gillies. Why didn’t I think of these sooner. So sweet and so easy to do!

 

 

 

 

Right!! That REALLY should keep you busy! Quite a lot to choose from. Have lots of crafty fun!

And whilst I have your attention… why not give the gift of creativity this Christmas? Avoid the HUGE toy mountain building in your kids’ and friends’ kids’ bedrooms.. give a lovely craft set and if you fancy a nice craft book to go with it. I have plenty of suggestions of what to put into a BASIC CRAFT Kit, as well as how to snazz it up!!
