Well, the summer holidays are well and truly over. The kid’s are back at school, or maybe like us, your child started for the first time this September?
In order to banish those first day nerves, and make the walk to school more interesting, I made this scavenger hunt. It’s been a real hit, and we haven’t had any dragging of feet or moaning about going it at all (yet!)
My daughters reception class are focusing on personal development goals of doing up their own zips and buttons – I’m pretty sure most of them can do that already! But I think we’ll get ahead of the game and make one of these brilliant shoelace tieing gizmos by Two Point Four Children. Such a simple but brilliant idea.
If your little ‘uns are getting into reading, why not spend some time together making these fabulous Peppa Pig bookends? Emmy’s Mummy shows you how – a fabulous upcycle idea, great result and a very practical make.
Been enjoying watching Mary Berry et al on the Great British Bake-Off? Well, check out Nurture Store‘s fabulous twist on this, the ‘Great Play-Doh Bake Off’. I wish I’d thought of this – frankly it’s genius.
I’m loving this blog Simple Crafts which features loads of fabulous ideas for pompom crafts. Who doesn’t love a pompom?
Finally, I have to give an honoury mention to a blogger not normally known for her crafting prowess. Well, she really has set the bar high with this creation, and I hope the creative bug has well and truly bitten her. I can’t wait to see what Super Amazing Mum comes up with next. This is extreme upcycling, and I LOVE IT!!

I'm loving all these lovely craft ideas! I will be a crafter. I'm forcing myself to believe that I can make stuff. My first challenge is a poncho (it's part made at the moment), and I will of course share as it shapes up!

Some amazing ideas there I may just have to steal, I mean borrow :) Emmy would love the scavenger hunt - infact it could be a daddy/daughter activity (even better) and I need to make that owl too...
.....so many plans, so little time.
