Craft Round-up: Homemade gift ideas

Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat and all us crafters are gearing up for the giving season by making handmade tokens for our loved ones.

I’ve been busy already and have made some bird feeders upcycled from old enamelware and vintage teacups.

The lovely Rosalilium has been making delicious chocolate bark decorated with pistachio chips. Wouldn’t that make such a pretty gift?

I’m in awe of this clever idea from JB Mum of One, and I know a few little dinosaurs who’d adore unwrapping one of these on Christmas morning. Check out her ingenious post on how to customise a hoodie.

Red Ted Art has these adorable chicken door stops, she has the full pattern on the blog so pop over to see how to make them. They’re great for recycling old fabric too – hers is made from an old pair of jeans!

There’s lots of ideas for gifts in a jar around, in fact Domestic Goddesque has a whole round-up of them. I particularly like the sound of her chocolate fudge sauce though!

More than a Momma has been getting crafty with her daughter, and together they’ve come up with these fabulous decorated candles. I love the idea of transferring a child’s drawing to a candle – wouldn’t they make great gifts for grandparents?
