NINE DAYS UNTIL #CyberMummy11! We want to celebrate the amazing bloggers attending this year’s event, including a very special blogger who is flying “across the pond” and was there when it all started. Please give it up for Expat Mum, Toni Hargis…
I’m proud to say I was present at CyberMummy’s conception. (I take far too much credit for this, by the way!) I attended the 2009 BlogHer conference in Chicago, with Diane Hayman from In the Powder Room, and met Jen Howze and Sian To. Before long, (okay, after several drinks) we decided that a British version would be a marvelous idea, but that it needed the organizing skills of Susanna too.
Once back on the other side of the Pond, the fab threesome of Jen, Sian and Susanna quickly put their heads together and CyberMummy was born. Such was my excitement about it, and my sure knowledge that it would book up quickly, I managed to find the web site and secure myself a ticket before registration was officially open! CyberMummy 2010 lived up to all expectations, and I was thrilled to be able to meet some of the bloggy friends I’d made over the years. When I see what’s on the cards for this year, the support and sponsorship that CyberMummy is receiving, I’m amazed that this is only its 2nd year. You’ve come a long way baby!
This year I’m travelling back from Chicago for more, although I’m combining CM with the annual family trip to England. I’m allowed a few days in London by myself (yahoo) before husband and three kids join me on the Sunday. I’ll be carrying a fairly naff bag with plastic pockets that allow for strategic positioning of “Expat Mum” lettering, so please come and say “Hello” to me if you have a moment.

Thank you Toni! We’re not sure if you will be awarded the “Furthest Travelled” award but we can’t wait to see you again in 9 sleeps!

Am excited to see you and hear what you've been up. Every time I turn around you're writing a new book, blogging here there and everywhere. The big question: what's going to happen when we all have drinx together this time?
