BritMums is pleased to announce that Cherry Menlove, the UK’s answer to Martha Stewart, is speaking at BritMums Live!
Here’s a little about Cherry:
What do I do?
I’m a homebody.
I love my family and my home, so I take lots of pictures of them and tell you all about them. I love to cook and bake and am very happy when experimenting in my kitchen. If something turns out OK then I take a picture of it and I tell you all about it. I also love to make things. I’m addicted to fabric and if I make something that I think you’ll love as much as I do then I’ll take a picture of it and tell you about it. I also love to be outside. I love to plant something and watch as it blooms. So I take pictures of the process and tell you all about it.
I am currently writing my first book. It is going to be published by Orion/Hachette in 2012.
I also write a monthly craft column for Making Magazine.
I had a dream when I was growing up. It was a dream of an open house. A house where all the doors were open and everyone felt welcome. So I don’t mind if you stay for five minutes or five hours, I just love that you’re here at all.
I believe in the beautiful, the simple, the uncomplicated, the natural, the goodness, the family, the dining table and the little courtesies.
I believe that kindness is strength.
I believe in the Home.
And I believe in Love.
Why?
Because it’s all I can do.
Love, Cherry
