More and more of you are sending in your blog posts containing video for this monthly round-up so thank you all for participating. It is great to see so much enthusiasm and vlogging talent out there across a range of subjects. Keep on sending me your submissions so this round-up can grow. I would love for brands to sit up and take notice of our vlogging community so that at BritMums Live 2015, the Video Award category has a sponsor like the other subject areas.
If you are new to the BritMums Video Round-up, then let me tell you what it is all about, it is a monthly BritMums Round-up where bloggers can send the URL of their blog post that contains video for consideration for this round-up.
Every month I set a theme. This is so that if you are stuck for inspiration, you have some direction on what to vlog about! However videos do not have to fit the theme, we want to see everything you have from reviews to talking heads, from recipes to tutorial posts. Whatever you are vlogging, send it in.
The theme for May was ‘Me’. This could be interpreted in any way you choose, from how you spend your ‘me time’ to ‘what I did last weekend’! We got some fab posts which you can peruse below. I recommend you grab a cuppa and take some time to enjoy these entries, as a lot of effort goes into making video. Prepare to be entertained!
I wasn’t the only one to do a video for my #MorrisonsMum shop! Leanne from My Little Life of Scrap did a food haul vlog
Charlotte from Write Like No One’s Watching was also a #Morrisons Mum this month and did a video of her food haul!! Both ladies managed to buy loads with their vouchers as you will see on the videos. Here is Charlotte’s.
Sian from You’re Not From Round Here did a very interesting review this month! It was a Durex review post where she does something with a cucumber! Watch and see! She also took the fight for gay rights on board with her vlog here.
Sera from The Agoraphobic Fashionista shows us how she gets an instant long ponytail! I’m amazed that she managed to get one that matched her own hair colour so well!
Jen from Jen JbBoutique celebrates her 2 month old baby on this vlog. It is such a sweet idea to vlog his month, and makes a lovely keepsake to look back on.
Hayley from Downs Side Up tells us about her experience of learning disability nurses and how they have worked with her family. This really is a vlog worth watching – Hayley has a wonderful way of contextualising the story to translate a complex and emotive subject into a story that we can all understand.
Renata from Just Bring the Chocolate has put together a very professional video with some humour around a serious subject. Learn more about Undiagnosed Children’s Day 2014 at her post.
Hannah from A New Addition vlogged about her family day out to the Birmingham Sea Life Centre where she met penguins!
Eileen from ET Speaks from Home reviews a Morphy Richards Steam Cleaner in her vlog here. This cleaner has a 9 in 1 format! Such a high spec item needs a video review!
Another review, this time Ruth from Geekmummy and her children review a Disney Cars Action Shifters Flo’s V8 Cafe Dragstrip by Mattel. The Geekdaughter demonstrates how it all works!
Center Parcs Ambassadors Kirsty and Clara from My Two Mums give us a whirlwind review of their recent stay! The video shows what they got up to, the food they ate and some seriously cute kids!
Butlins Ambassador Kara from ChelseaMamma reviewed her trip to the Bognor resort and this post shows a video she has put together of the highlights! The shows all play to packed out crowds!
Another Butlins Ambassador Jo Slummy Single Mummy and her daughter did a video review of the Bognor resort here! Jo’s daughter is very natural in front of the camera and kids don’t sugar coat things do they?
Steph from Steph’s Two Girls shows a Minecraft video where Stampy himself reads out her daughter’s name! If your kids are Stampy fans like mine, you’ll know what a big deal this is! He read her name because the 8 year old made an animated video for him which Steph puts into this post!
Penny from A Residence has done a vlog with Max the dog who looks completely uninterested in ‘walkies’! But when she got to the park she met Becky from Baby Budgeting who had loads of tips for working with brands – worth a watch.
Lisa from Hollybobbs posted about her day at Blog On, the Northern blogging conference.
Lucy from Dear Beautiful did a wonderful video of her family day out to the local May Day Fayre.
Katie from Mummy Daddy Me had an Easter Egg hunt at Easter and filmed a lovely video about it. It’s family friendly and has the feelgood factor! Enjoy it here.
Kirstie from The Family Adventure Project gives us ‘Dubai’ in this post. If you have ever wanted to learn more about this fantastic city, this post is a ‘must read’! The video shows the souks and the sand dunes – it took me back to my last visit.
Tracy from Toybuzz and her sons are doing a Moshi Monsters countdown on her blog.
Tinuke at Circus Mum vlogs about retro Polly Pockets! But this is her take on it all, not a straight review. I loved hearing her thoughts… Do you remember these babies?!
If you didn’t get your posts to me in time to be included in May’s round-up then please share them on the linky below. Leave a comment too 🙂
