Thinking about winter coats and boots when the temperature is 20 degrees outside seems to go slightly against the grain – but that’s the heady world of fashion for you!
As with last month’s fashion round-up, I have tried to include something for everyone – from the views of a former fashion editor of a magazine, to a cool, collected and stylish Mum of four, to a beautiful awe inspiring American lady, to a newly pregnant lady and a blog about all matters relating to make-up and beauty.
That’s Not My Age is run by Alyson, the former fashion editor of a well known magazine. As you might imagine, it’s intelligent and beautifully written. With the emphasis recently on the Olympics, posts have included “Olympic Park Style”, which referenced what the spectators in the Olympic park were wearing. We are also brought Expert Style Tips, Fashion for Grown-Ups, where to go for the best comfy shoes and men’s style too.
Anne over at Heart and Soul blogs about fashion, food and life. A Mum of four, she looks effortlessly chic, is a great cook and has a fantastic eye for interiors. I head over to Anne’s blog when I want to take a step back from the world and immerse myself into someone else’s life for a few minutes – before coming back to earth with a bump!
Many of you will already be familiar with Blair over at Atlantic Pacific but if not, you really should take a look! She is huge (not literally) but put it this way, there aren’t many bloggers who get in excess of 200 comments each time they post! I can’t think of any ways in which we are remotely similar, other than both running blogs and owning a not insignificant amount of Zara clothes, but if you want to get real style inspiration – or just gaze in awe at how many clothes Blair owns – Atlantic Pacific is the place to go.
Joanne at Ballet Pumps and Roses has just announced her pregnancy and I am sure that she will share her fashion finds and styling tips over the next few months. Taking inspiration from other pregnant ladies is a great way of minimising the stress of what to wear during pregnancy and I am sure that Joanne’s blog will be a great resource to many.
What Kate at Ghost Parties doesn’t know about make-up and skincare probably isn’t worth knowing. For anyone like me, who has a healthy scepticism when it comes to the claims made in relation to beauty products, Kate’s blog is a fantastic read. With posts on things such as favourite beauty oils, adding volume to fine hair, together with reviews on make-up, she is a one stop shop for those short of time, or inclination, when it comes to such issues!
I hope that you have enjoyed this month’s fashion round-up and if you would like to be included in next month’s, please do drop me a line at [email protected] and add your style post to the Linky below
