I can’t believe it’s been 2 months since I last shared my crafty blog round-up with you. It’s been a whirlwind of activity and holidays for me (what’s that I hear? Is it your heart bleeding for me?).
It has meant I’ve had little time for making and doing of my own, and my twitchy little fingers have had to make do with leering and perving over luscious craftiness on others blogs.
The only thing I’ve attempted recently is an ‘elephant parade’ which my daughter badgered me to do after being inspired by a sculpture exhibition on holiday. It’s still a ‘work in progress’ though. She quickly decided that the preparation stage was toooo boring, and could I please let her know when it was time to decorate them. I can’t say I blame her really, I’m the same with DIY. Filling; sanding and priming? Pffft. Gimme a shout when it’s time for colour charts and scatter cushions.

So, what’s been tantalising my taste buds on the bloggersphere lately?
Well, the ever brilliant Kelly at Domestic Goddesque never fails to inspire me. She’s teasing us with a glimpse of a sleepover bed she’s made, with the promise of a tutorial to come – I’m really hoping it’s the one using pillows because I’ve fancied doing that for a while now. She’s also got some lovely printed fabric gifts – perfect for end of term presents for teachers, and some nifty paint-poured votives. Go check it out!

Good old Pinterest caused me to stumble across a new (to me) blog called Finley and Oliver. A Californian Mom blogger, with 2 boys (can you guess their names?!) she has some beautiful tutorials which would appeal to parents of both girls and boys. There’s a strong stitching and applique focus, but the tutorial which caught my eye was for a carry-out Lego box. Simply genius!

OK, who went to Britmums Live? Hands up who handed over cash to Moo/Vistaprint et al for their business cards? Well read on and weep…
Alison from Five Go Blogging, not only made her own funky business card holder from an old pair of jeans, but she made her own cards too! Awesomeness, and she shows you how in her tutorial.
